In recent weeks, HuGo – the app for All Things Hungarian in the US – made its mark in three larger Hungarian events along the East Coast. These events attracted huge and enthusiastic crowds, who interacted with HuGo while immersing themselves in Hungarian culture.
The journey began on April 29th, at the Hungarian Heritage Festival in McLean, VA. Organized by the Kossuth Foundation, the Festival attracted over 500 visitors. The mix of vendors and activities created a wonderful family-friendly atmosphere for experiencing all things Hungarian. HuGo’s team happily engaged with users of all ages and kicked off a raffle for a round-trip plane ticket to Hungary.
The next stop was on May 13th at the highly-anticipated EU Open House in Washington, D.C. At this event, the Hungarian Embassy opened its doors to the public for a day filled with Hungarian music, cuisine, traditions, and activities. HuGo stole the show with the event’s record-breaking 4,000 visitors, who experienced HuGo’s capabilities, shared valuable feedback, and had another chance to enter the raffle to win an unforgettable trip to Hungary.
The tour’s grand finale was on June 3rd, at the 46th Annual Hungarian Festival in New Brunswick, NJ. The event attracted massive crowds for a day of non-stop fun and entertainment. With over 14,000 visitors, this event was the most popular of its kind in years! This event was also the final opportunity to enter the raffle for a plane ticket to Hungary.
Combined, these three events welcomed a staggering gathering of nearly 20,000 visitors. HuGo experienced a huge surge in interest, with many new app downloads, many new pins added to its map, great written reviews, and invaluable user insights.
Since its launch, the HuGo app has been downloaded by nearly 10,000 individuals, marking a significant milestone for our growing community!
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all those who joined us on this exciting journey. Thank you all for your continuous support!
