The 2024 BFP Alumni Gathering for our current and former fellows was held in Tihany this June. The iconic venue of the Tihany Abbey, dating back to the 11th century, is a stunning example of Hungarian architecture and history. This Benedictine monastery in Tihany was established in 1055 by King Andrew I. of Hungary.
The alumni also partook in seminars held at MCC Budapest. The discussions touched upon Hungarian politics and the recent European Parliamentary elections and the conflict in Ukraine.
The group enjoyed the stunning vista over Lake Balaton annd explored the charming streets of Tihany, lined with quaint shops selling handmade souvenirs and local delicacies.
