As a part of his 2017 US Tour, world-renowned pianist, a favorite among millennials and classical music lovers, Adam Gyorgy will be performing at New World Center in Miami on October 7. The one hour concert will benefit The Miami Foundation Hurricane Relief Fund which works directly with local communities in rebuilding their lost homes.
Adam Gyorgy was named Cultural Ambassador of the Year by the Hungary Foundation (HIF), a sponsor of his US tour, for his extraordinary talent and memorable performances, he exemplifies the best attributes of Hungarian fine arts.
Adam Gyorgy is recognized world-wide as one of the finest classical pianists of today. His televised performance at the UEFA European Football Championship was broadcasted to over 300 million international viewers. The prestigious Steinway Artist has also played in multiple sold-out performances at Carnegie Hall, Palace of Arts (Hungary), Esplanade (Singapore), Aula Simfonia (Indonesia), and toured annually around the globe.
At his Miami concert, the audience will begin a musical journey with Adam Gyorgy’s improvisations, which always tell a genuine and personal story of Adam’s emotional experiences. Afterwards, Mr. Gyorgy will continue with his favorite romantic repertoire from Frederic Chopin and Franz Liszt. As a detour from poetry and before the meaningful coda, Mr. Gyorgy quickly revisits his favorite repertoire with two of his often played virtuosic pieces, Franz Liszt’s Rigoletto Paraphrase and La Campanella.
Following the poetic beginning and his virtuosic interlude, Mr. Gyorgy finishes his program with the rarely played composition of Franz Liszt: Legend No. 2 in E major and one of Mr. Gyorgy’s all-time favorite, Frederic Chopin’s Scherzo No. 2.
