This upcoming 2024-2025 academic school year, Logan will be serving as the Director of Communications for the Alexander Hamilton Society Chapter at Liberty University alongside classmates bringing guest speakers to Liberty’s campus and facilitating academic talks on foreign policy and national security.
Originally, Logan sought out state and local politics as a potential career path, but multiple classroom experiences and Washington D.C. visits to the State Department and other embassies quickly changed his mind. He has had the blessing and privilege to be selected as a participant in Liberty’s annual European Union Simulation trip to Washington this past fall representing Slovenia. Logan, along with two other classmates represented three high-level government positions of the Slovenian government: Prime Minister, Minister of Finance, and Minister of Energy. As the Minister of Finance, Logan had to review the European Union proposal sent and draft modifications or new suggestions to benefit his country. Throughout this experience, Logan gained valuable networking and diplomatic skills beneficial for a future career in foreign policy and intelligence.
He also took part in a White House Principles Committee Simulation and was a representative of Hungary in an in-class NATO Simulation. In April 2024, Logan presented his article, “The European Case for Serbia, Kosovo, and North Macedonia: A Western Balkan Focus,” at Liberty University’s annual Public Policy Conference. His presentation consisted of findings relative to the accession of the named European countries and their struggles toward that goal, but an eventual path to success.
“I’m hoping to gain front-line experience in Washington D.C. utilizing my skills in international relations with Hungarian Americans across the country. Being partially Hungarian myself, I saw this as an opportunity to embrace his Hungarian heritage and understand the American-Hungarian culture prevalent in the United States. This internship fulfills my interests in diplomacy and engagement with foreign policy connecting me with a plethora of opportunities in the mecca of American politics.” – Logan Kase
