=-=Bringing All Things Hungarian to Fingertips Across the U.S.
HuGo, the free mobile app dedicated to sharing All Things Hungarian with users across the United States, recently participated in two dynamic cultural events that brought Hungary’s rich heritage to life.
The journey began on April 26 at the Hungarian Heritage Festival in McLean, Virginia. Organized by the Kossuth Foundation, this annual celebration welcomed over 700 attendees and featured a vibrant mix of vendors, cultural exhibits, and family-friendly activities. Guests enjoyed a sensory feast of traditional Hungarian food, music, art, and folk traditions—an ideal backdrop for HuGo to showcase how it brings the Hungarian experience to mobile devices nationwide.
Next, on May 10, HuGo took part in the EU Open House in Washington, D.C.—a flagship cultural event hosted by the Embassy of Hungary in Washington, D.C.. The Embassy welcomed thousands of visitors to immerse themselves in Hungarian music, cuisine, and customs. Attendees eagerly explored the app, shared feedback, and shared valuable insights.
These events generated a noticeable spike in engagement and app interest. By the end of the festivities, HuGo had welcomed nearly 100 new users, pushing total downloads to an impressive 11,774.
The HuGo team was thrilled to connect with people of all ages, exchanging stories and celebrating a shared love for Hungarian culture. Both events underscored the growing interest for accessible, tech-powered cultural experiences—and affirmed HuGo’s mission to make Hungarian heritage and connections easy to explore any time, anywhere within the US.
