Application for Website Development Grants

by | Oct 9, 2013 | Past Applications

Interested organizations can apply for grants up to $10,000 until November 15 for website development projects that are in line with and advance the fundamental mission of HIF.

The Hungary Foundation invites interested US-based nonprofit and educational institutions to apply for “Website Development” grants. Our Foundation is committed to help develop a strongly connected Hungarian American community. Digital presence and outreach, as well as social media are indispensable assets of an organization in the 21st century. In order to increase the interconnectedness of the Hungarian-American community, HIF will support the creation or improvement of websites and digital presence, projects that are in line with and advance this fundamental part of our mission. The details of the application process are below. Before applying, please read our general funding guidelines under the About Us section that apply to every grant the Foundation makes.

Available grant

Applicants can request funding up to $10,000 per project. As a principle, The Hungary Foundation does not provide full funding for projects. Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to the project through a meaningful contribution of their own human and/or financial resources, but at least in the worth of 10% of the overall project budget.

Project

HIF will consider a broad range of projects, from the creation of a brand new website to any development or upgrade of an existing one. However, projects must be in line with HIF’s mission, must either target the Hungarian-American community or assist Hungarian-American community building.

Eligibility

Applicants must be US-based 501(c)(3) organizations or US-based educational institutions.

Applicants must be involved in Hungarian-American community affairs and must demonstrate their involvement.

Prospective grantee partners must have systems and processes for ensuring responsible management of funds. At a minimum, an organization must have basic accounting and reporting systems as well as phone and email access.

All and any US-based 501(c)(3) organization or educational institution can submit proposals. In order to apply, please fill out the Application form that can be downloaded from our website (at the bottom of this page) and send it back via email with the subject “Website grant application” to hf@hungaryfoundation.org. Selection guidelines

Grantees will be selected based on the project details, the expected level of community outreach and impact, and the project’s contribution to HIF’s mission of Hungarian-American community building.

Deadline

Applicants must submit their proposals and budget until November 15, 2013.

Grant awardees will be notified between November 30 and December 30, 2013. In 2014, there will be a new application for website development.
